Vacuum / Spray Facial Machine Troubleshooting - This Common Mistake Can FRY Your Vacuum / Spray Equipment... READ THIS NOW!

Do you use a vacuum/spray unit in your facials? This equipment is so effective to assist in getting a really nice, deep clean for all skin types.

We recently had a client who was having some trouble with her vacuum/spray unit, and it was found that at some point, the unit was set up incorrectly. In talking to the manufacturer's technician, they told us they see this trouble often, so I wanted to share this important information with our readers!

A vacuum/spray unit is a fairly simple piece of equipment to use, but the trouble is that the setup for the vacuum side and the spray side is the same - usually the same color tubing is attached to either an input for the vacuum (which sucks inward), or an output for the spray (which sprays outward).

If the tubing for the spray bottle is attached to the vacuum input, water or liquid can be sucked into the equipment. Once water has made its way into the innards of the unit, it can cause damage to the motor, and eventually cause the motor to seize or stop working. All it takes is 1 time - even if the error is realized almost immediately - if a small amount of water is pulled into the unit, it could eventually cause damage you can't see.

Take a look at the photos below - these are the inside of a vacuum/spray unit that has gotten water inside, and stopped working:

In order to prevent this from happening, we strongly suggest marking the hoses and coinciding connector on the machine with color coding to help ensure the equipment is set up properly. Something as simple as, for example, a red dot of nail polish on the hose and a red dot above the corresponding connector for the vacuum and a different color for the spray hose/connector can make all the difference in keeping your equipment working as it should!

Your hands and your equipment are the lifeblood of your business - a quick marking can keep it running properly!
