Essential Oils for More than Just Fragrance

I made it all the way to almost the middle of April during one of the worst flu seasons we've ever seen without getting sick. I really, really thought I was in the clear! But alas, a cold hit me and hit me hard. So first - apologies to any clients who have had to listen to my sniffling on the phone this week!

However hard this cold hit me, it is clearing up incredibly quickly. How you ask? I have been diligent about my hydration, subsisting on chicken broth, tea, and water for several days, catching up on rest, and as well as focusing on aromatherapy in my home and at work.

Wait, what? YES - I said aromatherapy! I did my research and learned about essential oils that are best for sickness, and I have been diligently diffusing them (mostly in hopes to not only feel better myself but also to keep my husband and children from also catching the cold of the century!)

What does this mean for you? Well, first - as much as we want to hope it, we are not yet out of the woods of "cold and flu" season. Which means you might have clients - or employees - spreading germs around. To help them feel better, and to keep the spread of germs at bay, you might want to consider attacking the air with some of the best anti-illness essential oils around! Check out some of our most popular illness-fighting essential oils below:

Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea tree oil is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and antiviral. Can't beat that!

Pine Essential Oil
Pine essential oil helps clear nasal passages. If you have a client who is stuffed up, this is a knockout to help!

Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender is not only calming, but it also has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Bring on the relaxation while combatting germs!

Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus is not only antiviral but also acts as a decongestant. Sick or not, Eucalyptus helps open up the nasal passages and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for any of your clients!

Which of these essential oils are you currently using? Which do you want to try?
