Why I love Brazilian Strawberry Flexxx Wax by Mancine

Finding the perfect wax for myself has become quite the research journey.  I have tried countless numbers of wax brands and formulas available here at PureSpa.com - from all over the world to review.  My quest has always been to find something that does not tear up my fragile skin, feels comfortable, is low temperature, smells nice and has a soft, creamy texture (not stringy), that is easily malleable for extra control and detail. For years I thought I was seeking the unicorn of waxes because those qualities did not seem to exist in one product or brand.  Most of the waxes I tried hurt like hell, ripped my hair (didn't grab the root), were too strong or left heat irritation on my skin because I could not get the temperature right.

It was like fresh strawberries collided with cotton candy... it looked and smelled amazing I was dying to get started.

Here is what I love the best for bikini and leg waxing:

1) Ultra low melting point means it's ready to go without having to be the temperature of the sun.
2) Has a unique plastic like texture that has a powerful grip WITHOUT cringing in pain.
3) It was astonishingly comfortable for removing hair on ultra sensitive areas.
4) Gentle formula reduced redness - I had none! This was an absolute first for me.
5) Contains hypo-allergenic properties.
6) Pampering texture. Super easy to manipulate.
7) Smells freaking delicious. Does not smell like air freshener strawberry... It smells luxurious!
8) A little wax goes a long way. Efficiency is a great plus for maximizing profits!
9) No bumps, lumps or irritation was visible post bikini and leg wax. That is amazing for my fragile skin.
10) No stringy mess! Gosh I love not leaving a stringy wax trail all over my warmer & floor!

Step 5: Critical Repair Creme - Apply the Critical Repair Creme on heals and dry area of the foot to prevent dry skin from coming back. You may also apply onto your customer's knees and elbows to make them feel the Ultimate Spa treatment.

Vampire Facials Explained!

Due to the popularity of the Twilight Series, True Blood and the Kardashian Klan, Vampire Facials, or Blood Facials, have seen a sharp increase in popularity.

The main question that most people have is 'How the heck is this performed?'  The answer is that blood is drawn from the patient and manipulated in such a way that the plasma is separated from the red blood cells.  The plasma, which is color-less, is then injected into the face in a similar manner to Botox or Restylane.

I  am always amazed at how few spas try and up-sell me before a service. Considering I say, "YES!!" 99.9% of the time, I am always open for beefing up treatments with pampering extras.  Recently, my husband and I were on a Regent Cruise. We had a very generous ship board credit so I decided to use it up at the Canyon Ranch spa on board.  At the start of my massage appointment, my uber professional therapist  said, "I would like to finish your massage today with a Moroccan Oil scalp massage and deep conditioning  treatment. I will work the product deep into your hair and scalp to restore moisture and luster to your hair." That sounded absolutely fabulous, and without flinching I said, "YES, YES, YES!!!". Then I paused and asked, "Is that extra?" He politely replied, "It is $38." --  SOLD.

After the 50 minute massage he began gingerly massaging in Moroccan Oil Light with his finger tips. He also used this oil to massage my neck and shoulders during the scalp massage as well. After 5-10 minutes he then massaged in the Moroccan Oil Restorative Mask to the lower section of my hair, coating dry spots and the ends well. Lastly, he used a warm, moist towel from the hot cabinet to wrap my oiled head and then pressed it into my scalp for deeper product penetration. WOW! I never wanted it to end. Of the countless number of add-on treatments I have tried through the years, this was hands down, one of the best.

Disposable Spa Apparel - Having Options for ALL Clients

Spa Apparel Sizing - It has been written about before and a I just wanted to offer a refresher for our lovely readers.

So often when clients are purchasing disposable apparel, such as bras, panties, boxers and slippers,  for their clientele, they refrain from ordering the larger sizes.  Just as everyone's skin, hair and nail vary from person to person, so do their proportions.  

Being full-figured, I can attest to the fact that too many spas do not offer apparel, whether disposable or washable, that fit comfortably.  Too often, wraps are severely constrictive around the chest and robes do not close properly.  What is supposed to be a relaxing and soothing experience turns into one of embarrassment and shame.

Pregnant women can have perfect proportions all over, but with a growing belly and swollen feet, they too would like to have access to apparel that is roomy.

Oftentimes, when one has not experienced being full-figured, tall, or big-busted, it would not naturally occur to that person to supply garments in any other size than the standard 'One Size Fits All / Most.'  

The best plan of action is to buy what fits your standard clientele and have backups of larger (or smaller) sizes for new clients that do not necessarily fit the mold.

When I walk into a spa or salon one of the first things I notice, aside from the decor and overall feel of the space, is how it smells. Does it smell stale or have no scent at all? Stunning Color Effects With Pravana's ChromaSilk VIVIDS.

Coloring hair with vibrant colors is not something new anymore, but continues to show up everywhere! Pravana's ChromaSilk VIVIDS line has the most vibrant color selections for stunning color effects I have seen. These colors have been really popular with the Ombre look and also the new Urban Ombre, which is darker on top and fades to lighter on the bottom.

The Urban Ombre:

1. Create the mixture of the lightest color you will be using. This will be the color you will end with at the tips of the hair.

2. Begin in the front and apply the lightest shade onto the pre-lightened hair. Deciding where you want the colors to blend is by artistic preference, but the lightest shade should be applied through the area you want the blending to begin.

3. Create your darker shade mixture.

4. Start applying the darker shade from the area you want this color to be visible through to the previously applied lighter color. Once you have applied the darker color, use your fingers to work the darker color through the lighter color to create a blended effect. The amount of hair that is created by the blending of the two colors is up to you and will typically depend on the length of the hair you are working with.

IMPORTANT: Clean your hands between each section to avoid transfer of color from one section to the next.

5. Shampoo with your choice of Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Rinse with cool water.

6. Dry and style as desired.
