Vacuum / Spray Facial Machine Troubleshooting - This Common Mistake Can FRY Your Vacuum / Spray Equipment... READ THIS NOW!

Do you use a vacuum/spray unit in your facials? This equipment is so effective to assist in getting a really nice, deep clean for all skin types.

We recently had a client who was having some trouble with her vacuum/spray unit, and it was found that at some point, the unit was set up incorrectly. In talking to the manufacturer's technician, they told us they see this trouble often, so I wanted to share this important information with our readers!

vacuum/spray unit is a fairly simple piece of equipment to use, but the trouble is that the setup for the vacuum side and the spray side is the same - usually the same color tubing is attached to either an input for the vacuum (which sucks inward), or an output for the spray (which sprays outward).

If the tubing for the spray bottle is attached to the vacuum input, water or liquid can be sucked into the equipment. Once water has made its way into the innards of the unit, it can cause damage to the motor, and eventually cause the motor to seize or stop working. All it takes is 1 time - even if the error is realized almost immediately - if a small amount of water is pulled into the unit, it could eventually cause damage you can't see.

Take a look at the photos below - these are the inside of a vacuum/spray unit that has gotten water inside, and stopped working:

In order to prevent this from happening, we strongly suggest marking the hoses and coinciding connector on the machine with color coding to help ensure the equipment is set up properly. Something as simple as, for example, a red dot of nail polish on the hose and a red dot above the corresponding connector for the vacuum and a different color for the spray hose/connector can make all the difference in keeping your equipment working as it should!

Your hands and your equipment are the lifeblood of your business - a quick marking can keep it running properly!

5 in 1 Facial Functions Right at Your Fingertips!

Multifunction units are great for saving space and having all the necessary functions for facials readily available. However, table top units are even better for this! The 5 in 1 Multifunction unit by SkinMate packs in 5 of the top desired functions, all while being super compact. This unit consists of High Frequency, Galvanic, Vacuum and Spray, and a Rotary Facial Brush. You will have everything you need right at your fingertips with this 5 in 1 multifunction facial unit!

Check out all of the included functions:
High Frequency: High frequency is a popular treatment method known for it's germicidal decongesting, energizing and stimulating action. The primary action of the High Frequency Machine is thermal, or heat producing, because of the rapid oscillation of the frequency there are no muscular contractions. The physiological effects are either stimulating or soothing, depending on the method of application. All treatments given with high-frequency should be started with a mild current and gradually increased to the required strength.

Galvanic: Galvanic current is used to create two significant reactions in esthetics: chemical (disincrustation) and ionic (iontophoresis). Galvanic facial machines convert oscillating current from an electrical outlet into a direct current. Electrons are then allowed to flow continuously in the same direction. This creates a relaxation response that can be used to target specific nerve endings in the epidermis.

Vacuum: The Vacuum is similar to a miniature household vacuum cleaner. It cleans pores by suctioning out deeply embedded dirt and oil, while simultaneously giving your client a deep, penetrating massage. Increases blood circulation, loosens comedones for removal and helps eliminate wrinkles.

Spray: The spray is generally used at the beginning of the facial to remove any cleanser or exfoliating cream residue or at the end of the treatment to remove a mask and eliminate the residues. The spray is also used to flush out the freshly vacuumed pores, thoroughly cleaning the surface of your client's skin.

Rotary Facial Brush: Rotating brushing system, includes a variety of attachments for different purposes. Lightweight for easy to handle, quiet and convenient for shaft hook-up to allow easy access. Your clients can relax and enjoy the soft massage while the brush deep cleanses into pores to remove any dirt and debris.

This is perfect for mobile use, small treatment rooms, or anywhere you are needing to save space!
