Berry Unique - Infuse Your Spa Menu with Berries for Results-Driven Treatments!

Berries. For some reason, berries and summer are inexplicably linked in my brain. So, when I think of delicious, incredible summer spa treatments, I crave berry-filled services!

But why use berries in your treatments? So many reasons! Check it out:

Nourishment
Berries are not only good for us as food, but they are great for our skin also! Berries are becoming more and more common ingredients in skin care products. They are packed full of antioxidants, which help slow the aging process. Products high in antioxidants produce youthful, radiant results!

Antioxidants in berries are also known to have anti-inflammatory effects, which is another excellent effect for skin care. Berries can strengthen the walls of blood vessels, which helps to prevent dilated capillaries in skin. Berries can also help soothe irritated skin due to these anti-inflammatory effects.

Defense Against UV Rays
Another interesting effect of berries as skin care ingredients is their ability to provide direct and additional defense against damaging UV rays. More and more sunscreen formulas are including these powerhouse ingredients to naturally boost SPF levels. The anti-inflammatory effects of berries in sunscreens also help lighten hyperpigmentation from UV exposure. Clients concerned with hyperpigmentation will benefit from sunscreen formulations containing berries.

Acne Treatment
The acids that naturally occur in berries help disintegrate blemish-causing bacteria, making berries a great ingredient for acne-fighting products.

So there you have it, some of the top reasons to infuse your spa menu with berries this summer! See some of our favorite berry-infused products below....and leave out a bowl of berries for your clients to much on, as well!

SPA PANTRY Strawberry Leaves - Strawberry leaves have highly astringent and skin-toning properties. They are excellent for oily, large-pore, "dirty" skin. Dried strawberry leaves can be used as additions to facial astringents or facial scrubs.

SPA PANTRY Bilberry Herbs - Bilberry has an astringent, cooling effect that helps tone the skin. It has antifungal and antibacterial properties along with a natural alpha hydroxy acid. Enhances aspect of any spa treatment, including soaks.

Juniper Berry Essential Oil - Juniperberry is useful after any period of indulgence. Juniper may work as a detoxifier and cleanser that also benefits the skin.

Cranberry Pomegranate Moisture Masque™ - This luxurious masque combines cranberry extract, a rich source of vitamins, minerals and flavonoids, combined with extracts of shea butter and sunflower seed oil to replenish the skin.
