Do you love your hair shears? THEN OIL THEM!

Hair shears are expensive and you really SHOULD care for them if you want to ensure they live a happy life.

As Dorothy said to the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz: "Where do you want to be oiled first?"

Scissors should be stored in cool, safe and dry place, free from humidity, dust, chemical or acidic environment and cosmetics. Regularly wipe the blades with a thin coating of oil to prevent stain and corrosion. Don't forget the pivot area!

Oil? What kind of oil? Good question! An old trick is to using high grade sewing machine oil... I did say it was an OLD trick since not too many of us have sewing machines anymore! Or you can use shear oil.

Togatta has shear oil and it is very inexpensive... certainly cheaper than a new set of shears! Get some today, and wipe your blades with a thin film daily - your shears will cut better, feel better and live longer!
