Massage Menu In Need Of A Boost?

Looking for something different to add to your massage offerings? How about a simple "homemade" oil to have your clients relaxed and visualizing lounging on a tropical island?

Here is a super simple recipe that is cost effective for you and can be sold as an upcharge to any massage!


In an amber bottle, mix 1/4 cup of avocado oil with 6 drops of vitamin e oil, 2 drops of lime essential oil and 2 drops of lemon essential oil.  Put the cap on the bottle and shake well to ensure everything mixes.


It's as easy as that!


This oil is great for any client with dry, dull skin or dehydrated skin. Vitamin E has been used in many anti-inflammatory treatments and great for stretch marks!

Massage Chairs - A Small Investment With Big Gains

For less than $500, you can bring in something that has the potential to double your business. Either you are thinking "yeah, right" or "seriously, what it is?" - no worries!

If you are already offering massage, do you have a massage chair? If so, rock on! If not, you may want to think about it.

For your clients who have never received body work or may be hesitant, it is a fabulous way to introduce them to massage and how it can help their lives. They have the security of being clothed and sitting up, while you have the opportunity to chat with them. Some people will find it much easier to spend $10-$15 to test out massage or to test you as a therapist out rather than book a full session. Utilizing Small Spaces in Your Business

Small on space? Don't let that stop you from getting the equipment you need to take your business to the next level!

Diamonds Are Forever - So Is Your Skin

It's never too early to be thinking about your next menu change. The holiday season will be gone in a flash, before you know it the stores will be decorated for Valentine's Day. Here is a fun mask designed to reveal your best skin! Hydrating, anti aging and can be used on the body and face.

Diamond In The Rough

In a rubber mixing bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of shea butter,1 1/2 tablespoons of Rose Hip Powder and 10 drops of rose essential oil. Place 1/2 teaspoon of this into a small rubber mixing bowl (this will be the facial mask).

In another rubber mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon corn meal and 2 tablespoons of water and mix well (this will be the body scrub/mask).

Place the bowls into a mud warmer, hot towel cabi or stainless steel bowl of hot water.

Prepare to start with dry brushing (our best selling for service and retail are here!) the client's skin, starting at the feet and working up. Remove the body scrub/mask from the warmer - check the temp before applying to your client! Apply the scrub/mask, paying extra attention to any dry areas. Wrap the client in plastic sheeting, cover with a thermal blanket and leave on for 15- 20 minutes.

During this time, cleanse the client's face, remove the facial mask from the warmer and apply to the decollete and face, massaging the product in.

Remove the blanket, plastic and escort the client to the shower (unless you have a vichy shower to make it even easier!), or dry brush the skin again to remove excess product and use warm moist towels to clean up.

Finish up with a full body moisturizer (the Alchimie Forever Daily Defense Cream SPF 23, and Intensive Age Defying Hydrating Complex are best sellers across the world!) and apply sunscreen to the face.

Are Your Clients Bored? Check Out Some Ideas to Keep 'Em Coming!

Even with seasonal menu changes, clients can become used to your menu options which can lead to boredom - which can lead to them checking out what your competition is offering.

Are you offering things like "treatment of the day/month"? This is a great way to get clients to try new services, even at a discounted rate. You can introduce them to the next level of service, improve their results and increase their loyalty to you. Be sure to pick something from different categories each month to expand what your clients are coming in for. Things like microcurrent, high frequency, and body wraps are always great. Even offering an add on off the month like Eco-Fin or a collagen neck treatment can be successful for clients who have been on the fence about trying something new.

Do you have staff picks displayed in your retail section? Clients like to see what the professionals recommend and use themselves. This is a great way to boost retail sales and again, introduce new products and services to clients. As you've probably seen, once you get your clients talking they are more open to suggestions.

I've seen great success in companies that offer a monthly "how to" class. Whether it be proper techniques to use at home or on how to pick products for their skin type. Be sure to have products ready to demo, samples, sample jars and for purchase.
