Pedicure Bowls - Skip The Heavy Lifting

No HEAVY Lifting Required.
Use a Pitcher to decant
Your Pedicure Spa
Post Treatment.
Pedicure bowls are wildly popular in spas. They are beautiful, mobile and a great hygienic alternative to noisy thrones or jets, and they enhance every spa d├ęcor.  Yet as fabulous as these bowls are, some pros are weighed down by the cumbersome task of emptying out the water after a pedicure service.

Recently at the IECSC show, I over heard a spa owner saying that emptying these pedicure bowls has become an injury concern for her as picking up and emptying the full bowl is unmanageable for some of her more fragile staff members. The suggestion from the pedicure bowl rep. was to decant the water from the bowl using a pitcher. Once the bowl is nearly empty it is easy to pick up and discard remaining water and proceed to disinfect.

We have a beautiful Copper Pitcher available for elegant decanting of pedicure bowls. If you are looking for something less expensive, Amazon has some that fit the bill - but are not as beautiful.

PediStil - The Comfortable Way to Perform Pedicures

As a nail technician, one of the more strenuous aspects of your line of work is the foot exfoliation and callus removal during a pedicure. In addition to the rigorous scrubbing and scrapping, you are also holding the the full weight of your client's leg, which is extremely unwieldy.

An excellent product to reduce your straining and over-exertion during a pedicure is the Pedistil Foot & Leg Rest. Lightweight and chemical resistant, the PedStil is perfect for placing on the edge of your pedicure chair and having your client rest his or her leg on it. It becomes much easier to maneuver around the foot, plus it makes the whole experience more comfortable for you and your client!

Have you ever used a footrest for your clients during a pedicure? What features did you like?
