SpaFinder's 2013 Spa Tends...SNEAK PEEK!

New Year's means champagne, resolutions, out with the old, in with the new.....and for Spa Professionals, it means SpaFinder's Spa Trends!

SpaFinder released a Sneak Peek of their Top 10 Spa Trends for 2013. Check them out below:
Healthy Hotels - Instead of mere amenities, wellness-focused features of hotels, including fitness centers, spas, and specialized menus, will become mainstream in "wellness-everywhere" hotels.

The Mindfulness Massage - A creative blend of mindfulness and bodywork, the Mindfulness Massage incorporates breathing techniques and so-called "body scans" to bring attention to every part of the body, bringing the massage to the next level. Leave the mind-clutter behind!

Earthing - A movement promoting direct contact with the Earth's surface to stabilize the body's rhythms and reduce inflammation. Spas are expected to incorporate more "Earthing" into treatments and further reach into the "nature grounding" movement.

Spa-Genomics...Telomeres and Beyond - Genomic testing is showing the potential to pinpoint diseases that can be slowed by lifestyle changes. In some studies, telomeres have shown to be able to be repaired by stress-reduction, exercise, sleep, healthier lifestyles, and meditation. All of this is right up the Spa Industry's alley - and the move to incorporate Spas into your health routine will continue!

Authentic Ayurveda and Other Ancient Revivals - More "aggressively-authentic" wellness experiences, incorporating ancient wellness traditions will be seen throughout the spa industry, with a strong focus on Ayurveda, Turkish and Roman baths, and even Russian banyas.

Color Self-Expression - Self-expression in 2013 is going to play out in COLOR - allowing self-transformation to be painted on, both easily and relatively inexpensively. Expect hair color to be IN-YOUR-FACE, colorful accessorial add-ons, such as neon lashes, and lots of nail and body art.

Inclusive Wellness - The industry is expected to continue its shift from pampering to delivering wellness to people of all ages and abilities. More and more people are looking to spas to help with the healing process, as well as increase bodily function, in both pain-relieving capacities, as well as mobility-enhancing therapies.

Label Conscious Fitness - While branded fitness has been around for decades, the fitness world is expanding rapidly, and, according to SpaFinder, "an explosion of "fitness labels" distinguishes products and programs – and serves as a shortcut for instant recognition in an oversaturated market full of similar choices...Millions chase the "insider elite," giving the fitness world a distinct fashion world vibe where consumers shop for the latest fitness craze just as they search for the newest designer purse."

Men:  From Barbers to "Brotox" - 2013 will see more and more having "work" done, from injectables to body enhancements, as new technology allows for little to no downtime and almost no telltale scarring. Men are looking for more subtle, less obvious results, and further enhancements in this sector are allowing medspas and plastic surgeons to provide just that. Not a medspa or plastic surgeon? That's ok - expect to expand your male menu, including waxing, threading, and other male cosmetic treatments as well.

Where the Jobs Are - The health/beauty/wellness sector is growing rapidly, and cannot find enough qualified, skilled employees to keep up. As eyes remain on health and wellness, and the public views spas as a healthy alternative to maintain a wellness-focused lifestyle, this service sector will continue to boom with new jobs and positions to fill.

That is quite a list! Pure Spa Direct is here to help you grow your business. With over 65,000 products, we have it all in one place to help you expand to keep up with growing trends! As a business owner, which of these trends to you expect to tackle in 2013?

Spa Retail: What’s Trending is $70 – and REALLY WORKS!

Pure Spa Direct is so excited to be the chosen world distributor of Dr. Sadick Skincare.  Previously exclusive to Sephora, Pure Spa has the exclusive opportunity to offer the Sadick Park Avenue Prescription products, wholesale to beauty professionals.  This is an exciting opportunity for Spa, Salons, Estheticians and Dermatologists to be able to retail this blockbuster trio to their clients at an exceptional price.

Sadick Dermatology
Park Ave. Prescription Kit
Retails in Spas for $70
For over 25 years, Sadick Dermatology has developed professional strength skincare exclusively for their Park Avenue and Great Neck patients. Known to insiders as "The Park Avenue Prescription" this unique trio of products delivers a three-dimensional, structural approach to photo-aging and skin health is now available. Developed by Sadick’s panel of dermatologists, skincare experts and clinical researchers, they've combined the best scientifically-tested ingredients with decades of expertise and research.

Skin care clients on Park Avenue have the same anti-aging questions and concerns as yours do. Dr. Sadick understands how the skin ages, and how to keep it looking its best. When all three products are used together, this clinically proven approach to skincare addresses all visible signs of aging to help prevent and reverse environmental damage.

What we love about this line – and we know you will too:

 1)   $$$$We hear from Spa & Salon owners all the time – and we understand you are TIRED of stocking dozens of retail SKUs at ridiculous retail price points and low margins.  Clients are not as receptive to trying $150+ creams or serums as they once were.  Clients want results, and a price point that is reasonable.  The Sadick Park Ave Prescription Kit (3 products) Retails for $70.  That’s less than most spa retail eye creams!  Best of all, seriously visible improvement is seen in the skin in just 28 days! All clients want results!

 2)      Media Exposure. This line WORKS – and the media is taking notice with a big spotlight on the Sadick Park Ave. Prescription!  The 3 products have been featured on The Doctors, Fox News, InStyle Magazine, TODAY, Prevention Magazine Beauty Awards, CBS. O Magazine, to name a few!

 3)      Brilliance behind the brand:  Who is Dr. Sadick?
I bet you know who Dr. Sadick is, even if you do not recognize his name! If you have heard of Retin-A or low-dose antibiotics for acne, Rogaine or Propecia for Hair Regrowth, Latisse for eye lashes, Restalyne, Juvederm, Sculptra, Radiesse, Botox, Dysport, IPL and lasers used for hair removal OR rejuvenation, Fraxel - then you have heard of a treatment that, in part, came from Dr. Sadick's research. Dr. Sadick is one of the world's most respected dermatologists, and holds 5 board certifications in internal medicine, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, hair restoration surgery, and phlebology. Dr. Sadick was also the Global Medical Advisor for Christian Dior, and has been involved in product formation for global companies including Avon, L’Oreal, La Prairie, and Estee Lauder.
