Make A Splash In June With Hydrating Herbs

The majority of clients I've spoken with recently have been focusing on getting their clients ready to show their skin off this bathing suit season. The first benefit many are looking for in a product - hydration. They want to blast the skin full of moisture and moisture locking products.

Whether doing a specific menu item as their "Summer Spotlight Special" or designing a package treatment, check out the Hydrating Herbs by Amber Products. With ingredients such as strawberry leaves, sage, eucalyptus, lavender flower, and chamomile this not only helps heal dry, cracked skin it just feels good.

Jump start your June menu with a spotlight treatment designed to get your clients beach beautiful!

Combat Stuffy Sinus Season!

We are closing in on the season our clients dread the most. Cold temps, dry heat, congested sinuses. Help combat this, and be sure to stock up on some soothing Eucalyptus products!

One of my favorites would be a soothing paraffin foot or hand treatment. Therabath Paraffin Beads / Eucalyptus Rosemary Mint is a healing blend of oils to help calm any stuffy situation. This FDA Food-Grade paraffin is triple filtered, high quality, and crystal clear. It’s great for any paraffin spa, and it is soft and supple, so it will not crack. Made in the USA!

Don't forget to add the Eucalyptus oils to your diffusers! Now brand oils are 100% pure, natural and paraben free!

Merry Massages!

With the holiday season upon us, everyone is stressed about something new. Whether it be busier at work, gift giving stress, party stress or just end of the year crunch time stress - it can take a toll on our bodies. If you haven't gotten your holiday menu up and running, or are looking to add something new in just before the end of the month, here's a massage idea to help each tired, aching muscles and frazzled nerves!

On this one, you can customize or give your clients the option of which aromatherapy blend they want.

In a glass bottle, mix together one of the following and shake to mix:

3 drops rosemary essential oil
3 drops cinnamon essential oil

or

4 drops spruce essential oil
3 drops eucalyptus essential oil

Add the essential oil blend to 1/4 cup of grapeseed oil and mix well.

It's as easy as that!

You can also make more of the massage oil blend to give to your clients to take home. Check out all of the different sample jars.

Aromatherapy for Fall

Do you have clients who come in congested or with head colds now that the chillier weather is approaching? If so, it may be beneficial to switch up your essential oils you offer your clients during the Fall months, so you can better serve those who suffer from seasonal allergies.

A recent article I read highlighted certain scents that can help clear your clients sinuses and also relax their muscles if they are feeling under the weather. It's great to have a custom essential oil blend ready for each individual client if you haven't already considered! Check out some ideas below:
Frankincense
This essential oil is great for warming up the body, especially with the colder months ahead. It’s also known for its comforting properties and can help to promote healthy cell regeneration.

Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus oil can help to relive muscles aches and pains, and can also help to boost the immune system - perfect for your clients who are suffering from a cold!

Lavender
Definitely our most popular selling essential oil! This can help to relax your clients and soothe their muscle aches and pains while boosting their immune system as well!

I highly recommend blend the above oils for a customized Aromatherapy for Fall that you can present to your clients during the upcoming months! Be sure to check out our site - we have quite an extensive list of essential oils to choose from!

What do Aromatherapy, Positive Affirmations, and Retail Sales Have in Common? ESS Aromatherapeutic Roll-On's! Read on... I'll get to it! ESS has added portable essential oil roll-ons that offer aromatherapeutic benefits anywhere, anytime! They are great for retailing at your spa/salon.

  7. RelaxationKey Notes... Lavender, Tangerine, Patchouli, Eucalyptus, Litsea Cubeba, Petitgrain, Sandalwood
They sound pretty cool, right? But now you are wondering... where do the "Positive Affirmations" come in? I'll explain...

After using the corresponding professional use ESS Essential Oil Blend during your treatments... in a diffuser  added to massage oil, added to hot towels, misted on linens, on a towel under a face cradle, etc., you can offer the roll-on version of the same blend to your customers for a memorable add-on retail sale.  Explain to your client that a popular use of the 0.33 oz portable roll-on is to use them to write a positive affirmation word of their forearms in the morning.  The affirmation can be anything positive and then as they move during the day and catch an alluring whiff of the blend, the will be reminded of their own secret positive note... no one else will know but the user!  It is fun and it works great and the scents are amazing.

Check Them Out Here:

P.S. I'd love to take credit for the brilliant affirmations on the forearms idea, but alas, that credit goes to my wife.  Kudos to you wife!

Stay Cool, Calm, and Collected: A Comparison on Eucalyptus Collagen Masks!

I have blogged about Eucalyptus before in "A Spa that had me at Hello!" ….. but now I am writing for a different reason, a personal problem of my own…ACNE!

Eucalyptus is so very talented with so many benefits for your health as well as skin! One of my favorite uses is to control acne. With thousands and thousands of products on PureSpaDirect, and so many variations of the same type of product, sometimes it is hard to choose. So I decided to do a little experiment on one of the most basic products: Eucalyptus Wet Collagen Mask. I choose a branded one by uQ (which is a great brand that I always recommend to our clients), and a non-branded version of the same product. Here is what I discovered:

The Eucalyptus Collagen Masque by uQ left my skin feeling hydrated, supple and smooth. The mask came super saturated, which was convenient and a major benefit. I even scraped the package for some extra product and applied it to my forehead and eyes after removing the mask for extra treatment (had to make sure I got the most of it!).

The non-branded Eucalyptus Wet Collagen Mask had a stronger smell of eucalyptus which I liked. The smell is so cleansing and refreshing. With this mask, I felt the tingling on my face more, which made me feel like it was working, and helped calm down my acne worries. I was having a very bad breakout week!

As far as the ingredients on the masks, the Eucalyptus Collagen Masqueby uQ mask has a more prominent amount of marine collagen as it is #2 on the ingredient list, where collagen falls #6 on the non-branded mask. The Eucalyptus Collagen Masque by uQ mask also includes vitamins, and amino acids which all have additional benefits for the skin. The non-branded mask does not.

With two consecutive weeks of using the masks, I feel that my skin condition has improved slightly. I will continue to use the Eucalyptus Collagen Masque by uQ, to control my acne and will hopefully soon be break out free. As for now, the fight against acne continues….

A Spa that had me at Hello!

This past weekend, I had a spa experience that has blown all previous experiences away! Why? Upon welcoming me into the already gorgeous and serene spa, they handed me something no other spa has done to me before...Cool Treats -- Iced Eucalyptus Spa Towels. They are so refreshing, and will be a huge hit amongst all of your clients during the spring and summer months.

Eucalyptus is a popular choice, because of its wide range of benefits. When used in a spa setting it can be used to clean and sanitize, because of its anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Have your clients use these Iced Eucalyptus Towels to clean their hands, rub their face, cool their neck, and breathe in to help decongest, especially during a terrible allergy season. Adding this powerful essential oil to the iced towels can be used to stimulate, purify, refresh, and clear the mind before starting any spa service.
What you Need?

Recipe:
Pour some water into one stainless steel bowl, and add in 8-10 drops of your favorite Eucalyptus Essential Oil. (Hint: Use 1-2 drops of essential oil per towel). Dip and drench each towel into the bowl, wring it out, roll it,and transfer it to a clean bowl. Lastly, pour crushed iced or ice chips over the towels..... and there you have a nice spa treat!

I was so impressed how something so simple & economical can lead to a more memorable, enjoyable, and therapeutic experience. I know I will be back vising that spa again!
