OMG My Steamer Jar Broke! Read on for Important Info for ALL Estheticians

I can't even tell you how many clients we speak with each month who are in a panic because they went to move their steamer, banged it against the wall, and the jar shattered. Or they were trying to fill it and dropped the jar. Or they were cleaning their steamer, and noticed their jar was cracked.

What's an esthetician to do?

Not to worry! Pure Spa Direct has access to lots of replacement jars. If you didn't purchase your steamer directly from us, we can't guarantee it will fit, but by requesting measurements, we can get a pretty good idea of which jar will work for you.

But...but...my jar is in a million pieces on my floor! How am I supposed to measure it for you to look into a replacement? Well, my pretties, I have just the right instructions for measuring for a steamer jar that will fit for you!

Step 1: To find out the width of the jar you need, measure the inside diameter of the rubber gasket. This is the width measurement of the jar!

Step 2: To find the height of the jar, measure the heating element, and allow for 1 more inch below the heating element.

That's it. Not so scary, right? So next time you are in a bind with a broken jar, just give Pure Spa Direct a ring - we would be more than happy to help you out!

A steamer is one of the top tools an esthetician uses to offer fantastic treatments. When was the last time you updated your steamer? We have a huge selection of steamers to fit all budgets - some that come with acrylic jars, rather than glass - you can avoid the broken jar problem altogether!

Is it Time for a New Mag Lamp? On Sale NOW: LED MAG LAMP!

Estheticians worldwide depend on their mag lamps to provide a clear view of their client's skin. It is, next to the steamer, probably the most-used piece of equipment in a spa. Why not have a top-of-the-line mag lamp that will open your eyes to even more detail on each client's face?

Pure Spa Direct just found that top-of-the-line lamp! Check out our new Magnus 5-Diopter LED Magnifying Lamp. This 5-Diopter lamp features a lens cover, rolling stand, articulating arm for ease of positioning, and LED lights. Why go LED? Some reasons include:
  • Reduced Power Consumption - lower energy bills!
  • Efficiency - LED bulbs emit more light per watt the
incadescent bulbs, so you will see more!
  • Cool Light - no more burnt fingertips when trying to adjust your lamp!
  • Long Lifetime - LED bulbs are estimated to last 35,000 - 50,000 hours (in comparason to 1,000 - 2,000 hours for incadescent bulbs)...no more changing bulbs!
  • Shock Resistance - LEDs are difficult to damage from shock (knocking your lamp over or into a wall), so no more shattered light bulbs!

If those reasons weren't enough to convince you to go LED, maybe the price will! For the month of March, the Magnus LED Magnifying Lamp with Stand is on sale for 25% off! Scoop yours up today, and "see" what you have been missing!

Plastic Surgery or A High Frequency Machine...I'll go with the High Frequency Machine

The older I get the more issues I have with my skin and the more money I have to shell out to try and fix it. It is not just one problem at a time, it is multiple problems at once! From wrinkles, acne, lines, dark circles, drooping, large pores, it just never ends! I'm sure you have had many clients with the same issue, and there are only so many treatments you can perform on a client in a day. High Frequency units are the all-in-one machine for all of your clients' skin problems.

High Frequency is used to kick-start the skin rejuvenation process. It enhances circulation, increase production of collagen and elastin, eliminate toxins and acne-causing bacteria, encourage lymphatic drainage, exfoliate dead skin cells, and assist with absorption of skin care products.

High Frequency current stimulation forces an infusion of oxygen-rich molecules into the skin, which cleanses, massages, stimulates blood flow, and dilates superficial blood vessels. Because of the increased blood flow, high frequency tones the skin (similar to muscle toning). Application of high frequency current promotes
a cleansing antibacterial action, and the skin is left feeling energized, rosy, firm, refreshed, and noticeably softer. The dilation of blood vessels pushes toxins away from the skin’s surface, and allows the skin cells to feast on increased nutrients and hydration.

How Does it Work?

With High Frequency skin treatment, a chemical reaction causes the emission of ozone into the air. Ozone is a form of oxygen that has germicidal properties and is extremely beneficial for treating seborrhea or acne skin. The more oxygen that surrounds the electrode, the more ozone is formed and the greater the effect. When the electrode is lifted away from the skin surface, more oxygen surrounds it, a more intense drying and healing action occurs.

High Frequency facial machines include glass electrodes which come in different shapes and sizes to treat various contours of the face and body. When applied to the surface of the skin, a mild electrical current passes through the neon or argon gas filled glass electrode causing it to emit a subtle glow. High Frequency electrodes produce either a neon orange or violet colored glow depending upon the inert gas that they are filled with. We have found that both colors produce equally effective results.

One Machine, endless Benefits!
