New Year, New Signatures!

While many of your clients may be coming in for the "new year, new you" passion, what are you doing new, as a business?

Has your signature treatment been your most popular this last year? If not, it may be time to reinvent your signature. Whether it be a new scent added to the space or into treatments, or an entire new color or theme, when was the last time you had something completely fresh and new to excite them?

For those looking for big drastic changes to get their clients attention at the door, how about new reception furniture, fire or water features or a relaxation room?

Body Workers: Clients With Chronic Pain

If you're a body worker, is the bread and butter of your business clients with chronic pain or injury? If so, do you offer massage add ons or a variety of techniques to choose from?

Tiered services other than hot stone and/or aromatherapy seem to be something seasoned body workers shy away from. While making your hour long service a better value than the half hour one, what other ways are you maximizing your profit potential?

Why Wait Til Valentines Day To Offer Chocolate?

Everyone focuses on chocolate treatments for Valentines Day, chocolate products fly off the shelves every January. How about the rest of the year?

People love chocolate, any time of year! If you put a basket of chocolates on the reception counter, clients will eat it. Why not offer End-of-the-Year Chocolate Guilty Pleasure treatments?

Here is a body treatment that will leave your clients feeling like they jumped into a decadent pool of warm melty chocolate!

For the scrub:
In a large rubber bowl, mix 1/4 cup of dead sea salt with 1/4 cup of chocolate mint or chocolate cake oil. After mixing well, place the bowl in a mud warmer, hot towel cabi or large stainless bowl filled with hot water.



For the wrap:
In a medium rubber bowl, blend 5 tablespoons of white clay powder with 4 teaspoons of aloe gel.
Add in 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder and 2 teaspoons of water, mix well. If this seems to dry, add a little more water until it can be applied in a thin layer. Keep the bowl warm until ready to use.

Perform the body treatment as you normally would, including any add on services like dry brushing, Eco Fin, or even a facial mask!

Slim Down As The Year Winds Down

I still cannot believe we're already into October, this year is flying by!

Detox and slimming treatments are always trending, however the end of the year always shows a big push in detox services. Clients want to look their absolute best for events, parties and reunions.

If you're looking to add something new to your body wraps, here is an extremely profitable recipe idea, to have your clients feeling bright and tight!

Slim It Down!

In large rubber mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup of green tea powder with 1 teaspoon of borage oil. After mixing well, add in 3/4 cup of dead sea mud and 2 teaspoons of grapeseed oil. Mix this all up well, and place the bowl in a mud warmer, hot towel cabinet or even a large stainless bowl filled with hot water. You want the mixture to be warm when applying to the client.

Perform the body wrap as you normally would, along with any add ons like dry brushing, Eco Fin or a scalp massage. Add on services are a great way to further boost profits and increase clients satisfaction!

Ease Dry Itchy Scalp With This Hydrating Scalp Treatment

Do you have clients who suffer from dry, itchy scalp? This easy and cost effective scalp treatment will cool, exfoliate and hydrate to bring fast relief to your clients!

Summer Scalp Treatment

In a rubber mixing bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of fine dead sea salt, 1 tablespoon of wheatgerm oil, 5 drops of peppermint essential oil and 4 drops of tea tree essential oils and mix well.  Place the mixing bowl in a mud warmer or hot towel cabinet to keep warm until ready to use.

Shampoo your clients hair well and rinse with warmer water. After lightly towel drying, apply the treatment to the scalp and gently massage for about 10 minutes (now is the PERFECT time to offer an add on service of Eco-Fin or a VOESH product!). Remove the scalp treatment with a light shampoo and rinse.

Easy and effective, the perfect combo!

I love Eco-Fin, it may be my favorite add on service. It's cost effective, easy to use, easy to upsell and the scents are awesome. I was excited to see the newest addition to the scent family, Jubilee/Berry Winter. It's perfect for the holiday season with a combination of pine, berries, cedarwood, rose and cinnamon - it smells like winter!

Green Is Good---In More Ways Than One!

I'm a huge fan of retailing...both from a profit standpoint and as a customer- I love to buy things. Now, I don't actually enjoy shopping (thank goodness for online shopping!) which makes me the perfect impulse buyer. If I am getting a massage and the office offers anything at all to sell, I will look and more often than not buy. Sound familiar? Many impulse items are bought simply because they are in view. Add on the fact that people will pay more for convenience, as well as quality, and you are in a perfect setting to make profit.

Most people I know who retail items mark them up around 50-100%. Think about that for a second....you can double your business profits by offering the right retail products! Simply having items for clients to view, even sample and having a nice variety (not just complimentary!) will get you going.

Okay so that was the money green...now for the green product that every business can retail, no matter what niche you're in.

Eco-Fin Paraffin Alternative

Our shipping department has noticed sweet and delicious aromas in the air lately.  We have been shipping lots of ECO-FIN Paraffin alternative to spas and this stuff smells terrific!  The Raspberry Grapefruit and Chocolate Essence are my favorites.  Though I have never been lucky enough to use Eco-Fin (yet), I can easily see why spas love this product. They come packaged in these cool and convenient little ice cube trays with several different flavors that smell so darn good!  The Customer Service team tells me this is a must buy for the paraffin people... why?
