Fall Scents We Love: Cinnamon!

Aside from smelling amazingly delicious, cinnamon has a plethora of health and beauty benefits! It's great for healthy skin, and overall wellness. Now that it's Fall, I'm sure you are changing up your spa's menu, and incorporating new scents and services for your clients. Cinnamon is definitely a popular Fall scent I'm sure most (if not, all!) your clients love! It's warming, and it's pleasant scent offers relaxing and refreshing properties.  When cinnamon is used in aromatherapy diffused, or even applied topically, it can have health-promoting effects! Not sure where to start? Here are some ways to use cinnamon leaf essential oil at your spa:

Facial Scrub: Mix it with cinnamon sugar and coconut oil (or any oil your client prefers) to create a rejuvenating scrub that smells amazing!

Foot Soak: Mix a drop of cinnamon oil in a bucket of warm water that your clients can soak their feet in during pedicure services! This will also feel super refreshing.

Aromatherapy: During your massage or facial services, simply drop cinnamon oil into any of our diffusers to make the room smell amazing. The scent will most certainly keep your clients relaxed during their treatment.

Happy Fall!

The Scent Of A Man

Smell is an incredibly powerful sense that can have amazing results in your business.

Most clients I speak with are all using essential oils throughout their spa in multiple ways. From diffusing the air, infusing oils into various treatments to retail products - there's no reason to not incorporate aromatherapy!

I see a lot of lavender, vanilla, the menthol families and citrus families with most spas. With the steady rise of male clients each year, do you have "manlier" scents going on any where?

The possibilities are up to your imagination!

You can have a "guys only" room or section of the spa. Decked out with furniture and treatments geared towards guys. Here are some awesome pieces to think about:

Kasper Classic Barber Chair
Vilho Salon Styling Chair
Rigmora Styling Chair
DIR Pedicure Station Dragon
Davidson Barber Chair - Red (this is one of my all time favorite chairs!)
Les Series Reception Chair / Black by BIGA

In those areas, be sure to have more manly scents along with a few of the industry standards. Here are some awesome ones to try out:

Make sure your straight razors, hot lather machine and clippers/trimmers are all on point!

Last and certainly not least, don't forget retail. There are so many amazing retail products geared towards men!

Here are some top sellers here:

Even if you don't offer men's services, have men's products for their mothers, wives, sisters, girlfriends, etc to get for them!!!

Skin Miracle From Down Under! - Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is known to treat a variety of skin concerns, and is widely used in spa treatments. Tea tree oil is also a natural antiseptic, which means it’s capable of killing bacteria, so it's great for uses in facial treatments and masks designed for acne, as it has been shown to be effective on problem skin while causing less irritation. It is also used in many body treatments as well.

Aside from skin treatments, tea tree oil is perfect for use in nail treatments, scalp and hair treatments, and aromatherapy. You can also blend tea tree essential oil with an unscented massage cream, for a more relaxing, cooling massage experience.

Used in nail treatments, tea tree is great for healing inflamed or infected skin irritations, as well as softening the cuticles when blended with jojoba, avocado, and lavender oils.

For scalp treatments, tea tree oil is very effective at eliminating dandruff, as it will help unblock clogged hair follicles to eliminate the problem. You can add a drop to shampoo or massage directly onto the scalp.

As for aromatherapy, tea tree oil can ease congestion and soothe chest pain when used in a diffuser. Also, by adding a few drops to water in a spray bottle to mist the room, it will give off a fresh, relaxing scent. It is similar to Eucalyptus essential oil, which has similar benefits.

This amazing oil comes from Australia, where over 300 species of tea trees naturally grow and we have a wide variety of tea tree products for your spa here at Pure Spa Direct!
