Say Goodbye To Dry Winter Skin Before Spring!

It's the perfect time of the year to start planning, and preparing your Spring menu. Here is a great exfoliating and hydrating "recipe" to get your creative juices flowing!

Spring Fling Body Wrap
***gentle exfoliating treatment that also soothes, nourishes and protects the skin***

You will be using two different mud mixtures to swirl on the clients skin!

Prep:

In a large rubber mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup Sedona Mud, 1 tablespoon whipped shea butter, 1 drop ginger essential oil and 1/2 tablespoon of honey powder, and mix well.

In another larger rubber mixing bowl, mix 1/2 cup Moor Mud, 1 tablespoon whipped shea butter and 1 drop ginger essential oil, and mix well.

Place both bowls in a mud warmer, large stainless steel bowl filled with hot water, or a hot towel cabinet so the mixtures will be warm when applied.

Treatment:

Remove the bowls from the warmer - mud should be around 110-120 degrees. Using a body mask brush, apply the sedona mud mixture in a swirl pattern on the back, back of the arms and legs. Apply the moor mud mixture in a swirl pattern in the spaces between the sedona mud stripes. Have the client flip over, and repeat the process until the entire body is covered with the mud stripes.

Wrap the client in plastic wrap and a thermal blanket, and allow them to relax for 15-20 minutes. Now is a great time for an add on service like a scalp massage or Eco-Fin!

Remove the blanket, open the plastic sheet, and sprinkle the stomach with 1/4 teaspoon of ground pumice. Using about 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil, gently massage the stomach and mud streaked arms/legs one at a time. Have the client flip over again, and repeat the pumice and coconut oil massage. If you have a vichy shower, drench the client with warm water for 10 minutes. Have them turn over one more time and repeat the shower process. If you do not have a vichy shower, have them shower or use warm moist towels to remove the mud.

Be sure to retail sunscreen such as Burnout to your clients to help protect their glowing, hydrated skin!

How To Make Summer Skin As Fierce As Ru Paul

Spring is in full bloom...despite some crazy ups and downs in the temperature right now! You and your clients are probably starting to think about the upcoming summer. Parties, cookouts, beach activities and all the fun summer sun stuff. Now is the time to prep the skin and hydrate the skin as much as possible.

Here is a great treatment to help dry, dehydrated or dull skin that not only leaves your clients skin refreshed, but will leave them feeling happy and excited to show off their glowing skin!

For you, the cost per treatment is only a few dollars and most clients charge around $100 per treatment...hello profit!

Mojito Body Treatment

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar crystals with 1/4 cup of Sunflower Oil.
Add in 6 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil, 8 drops Lime Essential Oil and mix well. Stir in 2 tsp of Peppermint Leaves and place the bowl in a mud warmer, hot towel cabinet or a large bowl filled with hot water.

You may want to prep the room with some disposable sheets, plastic sheets or whatever you normally use when performing body treatments.

Start off the treatment by dry brushing the client for 5-10 minutes to get the circulation going and the skin ready for the products.

Apply the Mojito Body Treatment as you would normally with your body treatments. Finish off with a hydrating lotion like the Hempz Herbal Moisturizer, the Antioxidant Moisturizer by Amber Products or your favorite!

Fabulous Fall Facial Treatment

We are now rapidly approaching the end of summer, and fall will be here before we know it. It's time to start planning your fall menu options so you can start the season in full swing. Here is a favorite fall facial recipe to consider!

Fantastic Fall Facial
You'll want to have everything prepared shortly before the client arrives.

Exfoliating Fall Mud Mask:
In a mixing bowl, mix 1t Sedona Mud Powder, 1t Egg White Powder and 1/2t Clove Powder to blend. Add in 1t Grapeseed Carrier Oil, 1t water and 5 drops of Orange Essential Oil and blend. Stir in 1t of Cornmeal to make a thick paste.Place the mixing bowl into a mud warmer or bowl filled with warm water. (if the mask becomes too dry while it sits, add in more water. If it becomes too wet, add in more sedona mud).

Fall Moisturizer:
Mix 2t. Whipped Shea Butter with 5-10 drops of Orange Essential Oil.

 The Treatment:

Cleanse and tone the skin as you normally would for each client. Apply the exfoliating fall mud mask to the face and neck in circular motions, and allow to sit for 15 minutes. (now is a great time for an add on scalp massage or hand treatment!) After 15 minutes, steam the face and remove the mask. End with the Fall Moisturizer! Simple and perfect for fall!
